From the bleak, muggy streets of northern England to the bright stage lights of a London ballet stage comes Billy Elliot, which tells the story of a boy’s struggle for the right to express himself through dance, set against a community’s struggle for the right to work during the 1984 Coal Miners’ Strike in Great Britain.

Boasting 10 Tony Awards, 10 Drama Desk awards, 4 Olivier Awards and 7 Helpmann Awards, Billy Elliot is based on the 2000 international smash-hit film and features a stunning score by music legend Sir Elton John. Since its 2005 London debut, the show has toured the world, delighting critics and capturing the hearts of millions of people.

CLOC is thrilled to present this Victorian non-professional premiere production, which will leap on to the stage of the National Theatre from May 10-25, 2024.

CLOC and The AJN are giving away three double passes to the show on Thursday, May 16. Enquiries: cloc.org.au
