‘Your pain is our pain’

IN one of the largest displays in history of Israeli solidarity with Australia, 1000 Israelis sang and danced for the Australian people, land and wildlife at a concert held at the Tel Aviv Port earlier this month.

Proceeds from the evening were added to funds raised by JNF Australia, and will be directed to the World Wildlife Fund’s Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund.

On behalf of a number of partner organisations, Eran Doron, mayor of Ramat Hanegev, expressed his gratitude to the Australian Jewish community’s continued support of Israel.

“Today we have an opportunity to say thank you. Your pain is our pain, and the least we could do is to stand by your side,” he said.
